Select Committees

Each ministry has a select committee that is responsible for analysing and discussing key departmental issues. In addition, there are a number of overarching committees, which deal with cross-cutting issues. Select committees are appointed for each Parliament, although the Members of these committees can change during the Parliament.

•Since 2015 I have chaired the Work and Pensions Select Committee.
