Frank launches moves to bring the Syrian regime to trial for crimes against humanity

12 March 2012
Frank has today begun an attempt to get the Syrian president and Government before the International Criminal Court to answer for their crimes against humanity. But he needs your help.

Frank has launched an E-Petition on the Government Website which states:

We the British People demand that Her Majesty’s Government, through the UN Security Council, requests the International Criminal Court’s prosecutor to begin investigations into the Syrian regime’s crimes against humanity.

If the petition can reach 100,000 signatures it will put real pressure on our government to take action.

Frank is also looking to gather support from his colleagues in the House of Commons by tabling an Early Day Motion (EDM) calling on the government to take action. If Frank is not your MP please write to your MP and ask them to support this motion by adding their name to the EDM.
In an attempt to hasten action Frank has written directly to the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court requesting him to begin the investigation.

The move by itself may not immediately stop the Syrian Government’s slaughter of its citizens but it may well make them realise that they no longer act with impunity.
